Born is Kansas City, Kansas, Kathee has been making art in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara for over 35 years.  Whether performing art or painting, Kathee has been moving from expressionistic work to more stylistic and abstract paintings, creating colorful landscapes, clearly finding a style of her own. A self-taught artist, Kathee has participated in group exhibitions at Atkinson Gallery, Art Soup Gallery, The Faulkner Gallery, SBTC and The Bronfman Family Jewish Community Center.

Prior to moving to Santa Barbara, Kathee Christie lived and worked in Venice, California and participated in group exhibitions at Installations One Gallery in Encino, The Santa Monica Arts Festival, LACE Gallery, Desmond Gallery and The Japanese American Cultural Center in Los Angeles, The Venice Art Detour in Venice, CA. and The Hollywood Arts Festival, Hollywood, California.  Most recently Kathee participated in the Venice Art Crawl.

Kathee is currently working on her first solo show in September 2014 in Santa Barbara, CA.
